The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 鸡皮疙瘩都看出来了，难以想象这么年轻的导演竟然能表达的如此成熟、克制、灵动、自由，如果在电影院看估计得哭
大量固定镜头，大量空镜，类纪录片模式，精简的对白，偏严肃题材。这几项元素堆积，让观影难度陡然提升，隔了好几次才看完。表面是反资本主义的现实议题，实则空洞无味，如高级版郭敬明一样感叹金钱魔力罢了。
人有多种活法，选择自己喜欢的方式就好。别人能不能理解你的孤独，不重要。
被悲伤孤独抽离后的私人救赎之旅。沿路的同类，兀自的山峦，远方的冷空气。回忆也许美，可是正在飞走对不对。
