The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 实际成品比预告片给人的观感好很多，和《水门桥》大场面正面硬刚不同，本片更讲究对狙的智斗，在结构上层层递进，比隔壁也更有“电影感”。
数次落泪，不愧是国师！迄今为止主旋律电影中最好的一部，也是最「电影」的一部。借《一秒钟》的一句评价：把电影还给电影。

配乐太太太多了，还有那个子弹特效也很让我头大，不如采用写实刻画。

比想象中好多了…很久没有不倍速看国产电影了
比照2020《一秒钟》，2021《悬崖之上》，这部依旧是擅长的以小见大&人物群像，导演早已在艺术和商业中完成了自洽，给予了符合大众期待且易于理解的呈现。叙事扎实不贪多，群像人物分成几组，各有交代，画面故事感十足，片尾曲潸然泪下。故事原型在现实中善始善终，也很安慰。
