The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 剧情没头没尾，完全可以当做一段动作游戏i过场视频来看。但全片一镜到底太牛逼了，小队战术素养很写实，枪战代入感也很强，阿金斯冷兵器杀敌那段太酷。希望本片后阿金斯能红一点
打得干净利落，一镜到底的拍法也让人有点身临其境的感觉
片中对如何登岛的众多恐怖分子 ，缺乏交代 ！交火中被击毙的恐怖分子 ，数量明显有夸大成分 。
枪械射击效果太差了，知道是低成本，但是这实在说不过去
这样的末日科幻背景加悬疑侦探题材结果是为了突出玫瑰花的爱情。看完总觉得有点不太得劲了。
作为小成本枪战动作片，质量还是可以的，虽然剧情弱一点，全片都是在一个关押恐怖分子的小基地里进行，也没有大规模的枪战场面，不过前期有一定的真实感，也还是有可看度的。个人觉得影片质量给3星6.8分到4星7.2分都可以，我愿意按照高一点给，我给4星7.2分！
斯科特的底子还在，虽然已经45岁了，但是身手还是不错的，不过剧情就很垃圾了，流水线的剧情，看开头知结尾。
事实上如果不是休叔，我真想给这部片子打一星，整部片子从头到尾给人一种故弄玄虚的感觉，看预告以为是悬疑科幻，后来才发现居然是无聊透顶的爱情片…故事讲得好就罢了，问题是拍得真的很无聊，节奏一团糟，故事也有点不知所云。
动作戏真不错，就是少了些混乱元素，枪战拍的太干净了。摄影很厉害，导演的调度能力非常稳，可惜剧情太弱。阿什里和斯科特出乎意料的演得好。
剧情挺硬伤的，一开始告诉他妻子怀孕就没那么多屁事了，女主也是自找的，硬是要拖到临死前才说…
但导演对于具体情节的调度能力实在太差了，没能把握住这样一个庞大的有野心的故事，对观众情绪的调动能力也不足，同时画面也缺乏想象力。大量给观众“喂”信息的台词也非常破坏电影感。
一镜到底的感觉好像自己打游戏，是亮点。剧情很套路，不过看结尾好像要有第二部。
思念某个人就是人生的一部分，不经历这种悲伤，就无法体会甜蜜。
伪一镜到底吧，但还是蛮紧张的，当然编剧还是弱了点，工具人太多了点
近几年少见的刺激枪战片。第一部一镜到底的动作片作为噱头，让我本身对影片的期待值高了不少，看完虽然和预期有点落差，但是作为像斯科特阿特金斯这样的迟暮动作片老演员，还是为了卖力演出和敬业精神多加一颗星。
出乎意料的好看，看得出成本低，但导演和几个主要演员都是用心了的！一镜到底很赞！
