The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 西部爽片，节奏把握不错，渐入佳境很吸引人。
正宗老式西部片的调子，传奇人物比利小子演义后传，犹如《水浒传》之阮小七被演绎成《打渔杀家》之萧恩。
一般传闻他21岁时在新墨西哥Summer Fort被Garret警探射杀，这个片中Curry也讲到了。

比利小子的后传，情节渲染的不错，寥寥几个人物刻画得都很传神，近年来最好的西部片之一，在武侠、西部片相继衰落的今天，能有这样的佳作，属实不易，虽然比不上黄金年代的巨作，但也绝不是乏善可陈。
人物塑造相当成功，瘦削干瘪，一个眼角耷拉着。

很好的故事设计，既延续了传奇（或重新演绎了传奇），又隐喻了现实，一举两得。决战场面的设计很精彩，结尾的反转也恰到好处。近年来难得好看的西部片。
有种看了古典西部爽片的感觉，1906年的美国已经是世界第一，具有传奇的老爹逝去，带着传统的西部小子开始闯荡新世界。
潮湿的泥土，肮脏的猪圈，衬衫发黄，菜汤易冷。就是这么old school。

对话很无聊，故事讲述的一般，枪战还算爽快，只能说还过得去吧。
