The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 温情的剧情伦理片，算是为2022开了个好头，当技术已经成熟，克隆所面临的就是情感维系问题，如何能通过副本和母体的认知匹配度测试，影片给了一个可供实现的方案。
但火候问题没有起到强有力的沉浸按摩。

苹果智能产品概念展望。随着科技社会发展，人活得越来越像机器。克隆人代替品属老题材，记忆移植等同永生，记忆篡改、无备份相当于死去。虽有道德触碰，只是我觉得它完全可以公开，交代好后事，终结也不是可怕的事情。★★★☆/7.1
比起探讨伦理问题更多的是情感表达，男主演技好的离谱，把跟自己拥有相同记忆的克隆人和自己能演出区别来，那个没有经历过喜悦和伤痛的灵魂，怎么都是纯粹一些的
“我”在历史长河中一直以谦虚寻找发问但神化自我的方式存在的，一直在找的那个神其实就是自己，只是一遍一遍的试图验证这个事实。片中人类攻克精神构成之后，研发团队忽略这么巨大的精神信仰崩塌，仅仅为了守护所爱的人不心碎，但出轨的时候又不假思索。人类真的是复杂又可爱的生物啊。
从致敬巴顿将军的大国旗和快速推拉镜头开始，这种影视怀旧技法就像玛格版哈莉奎因，不知道还要消费到几时🤔
看到一半我还以为有惊悚的走向，这虚晃一枪拍的够有气氛的。
不想去評判克隆人的道德云云，只是想知道，如果是為了愛，就可以無限延續嗎？只要有一絲的可能性，是不是都要盡一切所能嘗試？
极具风格的电影，画面考究，表演精彩，就是性冷淡味道很重，让我联想到《her》和《龙虾》，真不愧是Apple TV上的资源，和谐，男主在我看来，优柔寡断，既然做了选择，就要愿赌服输，搞得人人不得安宁，要么你就啥也别做，在家等死吧，这个设定有很多自相矛盾的地方，不鸡蛋里挑骨头了，说实话看到男主脑袋上两个同步贴片的时候，这不就是买了部新手机嘛？重做完系统再导入数据！爱与亲人又一次伟大！
软科幻外壳下的关于生命的探讨，通过克隆人，男主像照镜子一般实现了生命中的最后一次自洽（男主演技不错，人物弧光很明显）。想疑问的是，既然剧情中的科技已经可以克隆人，那为什么不可以治愈本体的不治之症？
然后被想念或者遗忘
在2021年算不错的了 给四星面子分 不过还是想说好多细节做得so gross。。。
怪胎大集合，找不到任何一個正常的物種，不要想太多，就當做看了一場漫威的腦殘漫畫，加大量的優質特效就好。
人之将死其言也善。但是托付给克隆的自己，总觉得怪怪的，尤其是这人眼睛里有摄像头，那他岂不是属于科技公司？
