The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 看到一半就知道导演肯定是男的，果然世界上最厌男的是男人。男人总是自觉自己带给了女人苦难，他们细数自己的威胁、软弱、控制、伪善、幼稚….这一切的伤害都源于恐惧，恐惧面对自己内在真正的需要，他们如此地需要女人，需要到不敢直接承认，把这种需要外化成了一些恶劣的对待方式。可是导演沉醉在一些表面的隐喻之中，还是忽略了心里的那一个女人，她慌乱恐惧，不是因为你恶略，是因为俩人不曾靠近，不曾真的懂得，也不曾互相补缺。
对于女性来说，这就是一部真正的现实主义恐怖片。
好看的！吓人的！里面的疯逼男的可以在本国每一条互联网新闻内随处可见。所以我们活在恐怖片里是有道理的。

形式做到极致 但符号化太过于明显 直接喂 最后这个套娃真的….一丝丝不适
空镜什么都挺美的，一到最后就无力收尾，希望nope别走这个路线
镜头构图美得让人心醉，随手可以截图明信片那种。女主角对前夫的心理阴影用形象生动到血腥残暴的方式活灵活现地撕扯出来，对男人毫无任何怜悯地批判。竟然是位男导演拍的，令人肃然起敬。
看到拉斯冯提尔《反基督者》的影子。后半段垮了点，3.5
让主角陷入过去的沉重经历无法自拔，同时将两个时空的情绪重叠、对应，是表达手法，同时也是线索。看到了一些老电影蒙太奇的影子，形式与意义融合的不错。美术很好，很多戏随意截出一帧来就能吸引很多观众。

这个片子的可怕之处在于，让观众觉得害怕，诡异，恶心，毛骨悚然的角色，在现实世界中，全部都能遇到。
