Lucy Worsley travels to Russia to tell the extraordinary story of the dynasty that ruled the country for more than three centuries. It’s an epic tale that includes giant figures such as Peter the Great and Catherine the Great, the devastating struggle against Napoleon in 1812, and the shocking murders of Nicholas II and his family in 1918 which brought the dynasty to a brutal end.
The Romanovs were the most powerful European monarchs since the Middle Ages, wielding unmatched authority into the 20th century. Lucy will see how they embraced and sponsored the arts on an astonishing scale, commissioning artworks and building spectacular palaces that still dazzle today. Yet many ordinary Russians were little better than slaves, and the failure of the Romanovs to address their condition would ultimately lead to revolution.
In this new three-part series, Lucy will apply her characteristic insight, attention to detail and wit to the Romanov dynasty. 看未来罪行觉得没看到什么东西的人，一定不要错过这部。之前看开拓者很生气。现在我觉得也许我误解了加兰？也许他就是想呈现所谓弥赛亚的自私和自大呢？？？女主看到了“我不想剧透”的那一幕惊悚场景之后，她竟然就平静了，甚至有点可怜那一套东西。加兰对音乐的运用也是服气的，这里面的四个音符和湮灭里的惊悚音乐，这辈子都忘不了了。女主演之前的我想结束这一切也很好，还有一个关于女性内心暴力的电影，好像叫野兽还是什么。这个女演员真的赞。看到一些评论试图用女权不女权来解读这个电影，但是显然某些人也根本不知道女权是什么。国内的男性还是停留在女权就是女人想得到更多好处更多保护。当然这也没错。但是不止于此。就如使女的故事，第四季的主题是以牙还牙以眼还眼，想了解女权的男性应该看看。
繁殖和塑造“男性”的其实是男性自己古老而野蛮的观念而不是性器;我们被拒绝入内所造成的伤害标记了我们的无可辩驳的同一性。隐喻的清澈和工整与诗意十足统一了，这种统一成为第一目标而使叙事似乎只发生在十五分钟以内。
女主可能是世界上最惨的人，遇到的都是男人，还都是一个样，强行被迫灭绝的状态。最后的男生男属实有点恶心了。前半段的绿色倒是挺养眼

Alex Garland’s movie style really amazes me, he filmed the british countryside so beautifully. Wanna visa the forest of dean to see the tunnel now. Rory Kinnear got range, he can act every fucking thing, even a new born baby. Jessi Buckley is like made for these kind of movies. we lived under the patriarchy for so long. That birth scene.

心理恐惧，男权世界，一人多面，概念不少，但这电影也太白了，隐喻都成了明喻，氛围有，感觉无。最后的一幕幕真是…..，能明白为何这样，但不能理解为什么非要这样。
黑叶芝黑到位了，看的人人版被剪了不少只能靠脑补，高饱和的环境色很容易联想到《湮灭》

最后的连环生子那一段着实厉害，男人就是男人的复制品。特效怎么做的啊，真牛逼，可以载入史册。
为了一点醋包了一锅饺子。cult场面没有铺垫部分吓人，恶心更多一点。片末场景女主丈夫说完台词后感想是“就这”…

3.5星，反gaslighting教科书，女主真的很适合演这种小成本惊悚片，外表脆弱但是眼神倔强，姐妹们看到了吗不要被任何人洗脑你就是你生命的主宰
比较喜欢嘉兰之前的作品，但本片实在无法接受。它真的不像一部电影.....
独居的恐惧，被暴露狂跟踪的恐惧，被强奸的恐惧，被婚姻束缚的恐惧，被随意批判的恐惧，生育的恐惧…这么理解就还挺吓人的
随便看看就行了，希望导演下一部恢复正常水平
