抛开科幻的成分，单从人要面对生离死别时的不安与不舍，足以发人深省并为之动容。至少，向死而生是应该提好做好的自我心理准备。意义大于故事本身，后韵绵长值得加分。
多重反讽
与第一部一样，精巧的"互文"从剧集的结构进入电影的结构。
TV版动画11-14集的合辑篇，主要内容就是三个主角第一次相遇，而后在一个会各种转换的房子里，炭治郎打败了下玄鬼，之后休养生息，准备前往蜘蛛山，相比较于原本的TV版，这个特别版并没有加入什么新内容，看过原版的可以不再看这个，但是如果是想要体会连续性较强的对战，这个版本还是可以一看的，而且这段打斗里，敲鼓变换空间还是很有视觉效果的，最后炭治郎在沉浸之中获得成长，用大招破解一切，也制作的非常出色，如果想要重温剧情，又觉得分集看比较麻烦，还是可以一看本片的。

唐顿可以说是旧时代里的理想国了，主人们温和豁达包容大气，仆人们尽心尽力不卑不亢。对新时代和新事物，都努力学习和接受。最后拍电影仆人们衣着华丽坐在桌边，主人们开心的旁观，真是很可爱。老夫人安置了一切，稳妥得离世，富贵一生子孙满堂，人生的最后，竟然还出现了一个默默爱了自己一世的男人，老夫人好福气啊。
