《男人》直接或暗示的展现了男权社会中女性生存的状态。影片高潮部分中，导演亚力克斯·嘉兰用超现实的手法展现了男人怀孕生产的场景，惊悚的同时又使人深思。
一部对话流电影，自导自演的宝藏导演，直白的讲了一个要爱自己的故事。将时间、金钱、精力、感情都花在自己身上，年轻迷茫的时候，适当的have some fun也无伤大雅，谁能一下子就认清自己呢。如果像这样约好了再也不见面，那曾经一定是相当在乎的人吧。
