The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 孤独深处，苍凉的西部、公路色彩影片，这种迷茫和无依其实非常符合当下的美国社会现状。赵婷真的棒，作为外来者，能在自己的头几部长片就把握了现阶段美国精神的精髓，并且招募到如此优秀的演员和团队。Fern念的那首莎翁十四行诗恰好是我最喜爱的一首。
与其说是呈现不同的生活方式，不如说是人在失去重要的羁绊同时也获得某种自由的时候，对自我存在的寻找。与大自然连接的时候确实容易想起马力克，但是又没有马力克那种内在精神的超越性。如果说是自然主义的生活流，它又显出一些刻意编排，使得人物的状态缺乏一点“自然”。音乐一开始觉得俗气后来倒也符合影片的基调。
★★★★★ 每一秒都太喜欢了。背负着各自的故事与伤痛、脆弱又坚强的人们一个个相遇又分别的故事。年纪越大越能明白这样的道理。see you down the road是最好的迎接与道别。

EP.11-14 《鼓屋敷篇》
很轻盈。赶在奥斯卡颁奖之前看完，以此彰显自己很有品位（。
气氛镜头和音乐的堆砌没有很有效地展示人物的内心世界。前半段描绘美国nomad people的生活处境，后半段表现女主尝试却无法与世界重新产生连接的孤独。结尾把流浪归因为一段曾经沧海难为水的关系是否可信？（这样的关系必然存在，但是否在影片里得到足够扎实的刻画？）
总之是好电影！
看着还是纪录片的手法和拍摄方法，画面不那么好看，老头老太太也不讨喜，估计应该是题材还算新颖。

Fern驶过寂寥无依的大地，白雪覆盖的公路；注视过汹涌澎湃的大海，炽热的福玻斯神光。你以为她是自由潇洒才总在路上，但失去所爱的她悲不自胜，茕茕孑立。这片孤独的大地啊，有着一样孤独的人群和孤独的灯；孤独的房车里，困扰着成百上千孤独的灵魂。
配乐毁了Frances McDormand的表演，空镜很像国家地理，这部片子真的走入那些游牧者的心了吗？
也不会像你想象的那么坏
