The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 片里还有一条线是女儿夏天对感情的选择，有的时候分开还是继续都是心照不宣的。这种隐忍的留白，是成熟而不乏善感的温柔。
苦的背后，是寡淡无味
故事在剪辑后有一定的理解难度，但可以感受到电影的真诚。
