是这个时代的克莱默夫妇，但不同于前人着重讨论女性在丧偶式育儿的家务负担（女权运动2.0时代社会对女性从家务中解放的典型视角），这部片更侧重女性扮演母亲角色上的心理困境和感受，或者说这里男性长辈的母亲角色先行于父亲角色。某种程度上也是两位妈宝男互助的故事，并在故事推进的过程中共同理解母亲在面对儿子时倾向于无条件的包容与配合而不是输出价值观，而这种包容对母亲造成了很大的压力和无奈。舅舅在面对童言无忌的好奇下会放下心防解开心结并且审视自己和母亲的关系是影片一开始就很明确的人物弧光；另一方面，外甥在看着舅舅模仿母亲角色时亦步亦趋的笨拙也会理解母亲角色背后的女性也是一位和他同样敏感且烦恼的人，从而走出逃避困难自我封闭式的角色扮演的窠臼。最后想问Jesse让Johnny走进浴室真的不是致敬闪灵吗？

看完以后一直纠结于
大龄舅与幼童甥的差异、沟通和情感，用黑白色调展现，很有味道。摄影不错。
全方位舒适的一部电影。和华叔上一部电影截然不同。应该是我2021的最佳电影了。太喜欢了，是一部有分寸，模糊，细腻的片子。
电影很奇怪，以一种文本密集的姿态登场，却只有非常少的信息量，几次以为要触及问题的核心，几次又绕了过去，最后只能落在一个不痛不痒的地方，稍稍有点尴尬了。

华金的声音让这部电影很温柔，小男孩也很可爱很灵，灰色的城市画面和镜头让我总是不自觉的走神。知道是好片但爱不起来系列。
