The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 剧本的设置也极为精彩。
3.5，结构能联想到《十二宫》，索金显然从芬奇那里学到了很多。影像上营造的表现力显然高于事件本身，雕刻痕迹也更重。

索金的编剧、叙事剪辑和场面调度处处展现匠工 舞台剧一般戏剧性的冲突在如今美国现状份外切题 年轻的检察官问，“你对你的政府有意见吗？”abbie最终的回答是，“在这个国家，我们每四年实践一次。” 还有更好的答案？
电影拍的很不错，几场法庭戏十分精彩，如果2020年10月之前看，我会热血沸腾，但全程围观了2020年底那场丑陋的选举回头再看，只能感叹那种公正，民主，正义的社会土壤已经变质，美国再也不是人人向往的世界灯塔。

艾伦索金带着强烈个人风格的左派作品，密集犀利的台词是子弹，锋利痛快的剪辑是刀刃，说的是60年代的芝加哥七君子审判，瞄准的却是当今美国。左派与否，这个时代需要民主，民主需要发声。
每个人的出生决定了斗争的方式，甚至结局。Abby挺让人唏嘘的
对美国的很多制度都不是很了解，通过这部电影又可以知晓一二，小雀斑看着不言不语的，最后开始念名字终于高光。另一位主演对汤姆·海登的评价没有错，是真正的爱国者。
片尾曲缓缓唱道“let us make a world in which I believe”, sounds attempting but how selfish, and unfortunately this has always been the American ideology.
有些国人看本片可能会看high，倒不是因为所谓的理想主义，而是终于为自己身边发生的事情找到了合理性：老美不也没有民主，天下乌鸦一般黑！问题是，在政治面前，民主都是笑话，但这也是有程度之分的。反正我看着人家的混乱，再看看自己井然有序的生活，略感汗颜。
