The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up.     全片以露丝的视点叙述，影片大量的闪回，通过信息差来制造悬念。在剧情反转前，我觉得影片核心在讲人对内在情绪的克制，所有的冲突的源头都是以内在的、私人的，但形式却是非理智的，而在真相被揭晓后，小小厂房里男性和女性的对峙形成了强烈的对比，一个是女性的坚韧，她能被压倒在地，也能重新站起来，一个是男性的冲动，他是一直隐忍着的，不表露情感，但当他被击溃的那一刻，他就无法再保持理智、控制行为了。

    整个情节确实是英剧的路子，结尾反转挺意外，但是感觉有点俗，呵呵，结尾也是英剧式的克制。能看得进去。不过现在看西式的普世价值观，总觉得有点虚伪，妹妹才五岁，其实没必要顶罪，对于孩子心理来讲顶不顶罪，没什么区别，她要不记得，不顶罪也没影响，她要记得，顶罪又有什么用，平白分离这么多年，不好意思，剧透了。
