It’s the start of the spring term in a small northern town, heralding swimming lessons, hanging out with best friends, new classes and new possibilities. But this year, things are different for 14-year-old Sam. While her friends are moving on, focusing on boys, experimenting with drugs, Sam is too uncomfortable to even take off her bathing suit in front of the other girls. After landing herself into trouble, she is forced to work as a cleaner at the retirement home run by her mother. Sam finds unexpected and unlikely friendships with two of the retirement home’s residents who end up teaching Sam a few things about growing up — and growing old. (Tiff 2014)

冲着大本看的。是瘦了吗？几乎不敢确定。故事有点你当像鸟飞过高山的感觉。原生家庭、上大学的重要性。舅舅被渣爸暴走为什么不还手？我不理解。最后找渣男我以为会帮舅舅要回30美元。。我也想和男主做固炮。
35/100 好无聊，原来是乡巴佬劝学片，这种糖水拍法实在甜到掉牙。一部传记片变成了成长片，结果还是人生导师型的角色作主线，全片全靠大本嘚吧嘚，又是流水账又感觉乱的要死，混几个演技奖提名得了。

一个失去父爱的少年成长为作家的故事，还行吧，可能因为有了本艾弗列克才会看的片子。
这是一个成长的故事啊，我觉得结尾挺好的，为什么一定温馨呢，等你找到那个人的时候，那个人还是你想的人吗。

导演其实也可以自己演，挺温暖的，正常讲完了故事，播了一辑怀旧金曲。
Oh. I actually kinda liked it... made me laugh. Acting feels a bit forced, not sure about this casting, story itself is probably more entertaining/touching through words than a big screen, I guess
轻巧温柔的故事，配上好听的歌曲，以及迷人的七十年代背景，这种组合无论怎样的配置，都一定会令人赏心悦目。

可以说是完全跳脱原作小说的再创作剧本，可能也是因为电影篇幅限制，不可能像原作一样讲三代人。剧情较满，节奏平直，推进过程就如流水没有跌宕起伏。
但也不至于看不进去。
看在赵震雄面子上多1星，这类故事没有创新的话，真是看得又累又无聊

平淡且冗长的流水账式叙事节奏 太乏味了整体非常一般 毫无新意 多一星给配乐
原来是小说改编啊…除了略有被反转和动作戏惊到之外没啥感觉。有些套路有些无聊。
