The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 前一半都以为是种田文，后面忽然魔幻了起来。是一部中间打破你剧情走向猜想的故事。画面美丽，里面的房子也太漂亮啦。总体来说：治愈，有趣。观影体验有两个地方不太好。1-前期剧情发展慢，容易弃了退出。2-打Boss的时候忽然Boss就灭了。不过，看到Boss灭的莫名其妙的时候，一条弹幕跳了出来：“生活中有些困难不就是这样么，看起来很恐怖，但是当你鼓起勇气去面对的时候，很简单就可以解决”。嗯，这个Boss在这个电影里的高潮剧情么？是，又不是。看到这个弹幕后可以接受这个Boss如此潦草了。总的来说，推荐。

挺好看的很温馨讲灾后重建 虽然结尾打boss很仓促但是整体还是不错的
再说故事内容，前面情绪铺垫太多了，看着很累，后面对抗情绪怪兽又太快，转瞬即逝，即便想说悲伤是可以很快化解的，但着实也没让人get到。而且，如果是想让大家不要沉浸于悲伤情绪中，为什么需要一个奶奶和两个小朋友去对抗？以及，把怪兽干掉之后，大家就不会悲伤了吗？反正就是觉得有些强行刻意，但其中并没有什么逻辑。
结尾余韵十足哎！看得我都有点悸动了。虽然全片都夹杂了离谱的三角恋剧情，但是结尾美好到让我直接忘记了男主角的存在。不过前面节奏真的好慢，看得我好着急。因为喜欢结局，决定给四颗星！
简简单单治愈系吧…没那么好看，但看下也不糟糕

配乐很像小森林，高潮部分没有表达好，还是有些单调了……
画风很美，很治愈。剧情一般，印象深刻的台词是，生活就要像这样尽自己所能，我们都别无选择。
挺可爱温暖的一个小故事，画风配色很舒服，故事讲的一般，就还行吧
自恋扭曲残缺性格的女主，温柔体贴的女二，蛮带感！
画风、人物、立意都很温暖与治愈，无奈情节不是很完美，和红祟的高潮部分有些如鲠在喉，挖掘得不是很深刻。
却被小温柔的一封信击溃
是昨晚emo时当机立断选看的，主角们温柔又善良，小姑娘蕴含着大大的力量，河童们活泼又可爱。
原先以为会像是《情书》那样的纯爱电影，没想到讲的是青春的苦痛，山田杏奈将青春期不懂爱极度自私的女孩子塑造的很好，而这个年纪不止女孩子也有很多这样的男孩子，但结尾收的不是太好，转折太快，和解太快，或者这也是青春期特有的吧
我原本以为这是一部纯真的百合片，兴高采烈地去看，结果剧情让我无语至极，连船戏都没有兴趣。日本人，你可真会恶心人😅😅😅

哈哈哈哈是青春被漫画戏剧感毒害了还是青春本就如此。。一边是好好读书一起考大学的空头支票圣母婊，一边是一心只想走捷径不想付出长线努力的少女大魔王，一个塞壬一个盖亚，还真的能把姐妹睡弯了。中间那个男的就是个工具人。少女向求求你们别看了，耽误终身，还是打打游戏吧。不过我还是很喜欢看这部。
伤痛不一定非要用尽方法去治愈它，每天平静的生活下去，就已经在化解伤痛。
