结尾升华的点得很不错，讽刺了贵族上等阶层为了自己的利益，制造谎言，让海怪和底层猎人自相残杀了数个世纪的卑劣的从中渔利行径。

画质一流，剧情略有点简单，但是看着很舒服，很适合和孩子一起看。

结局好尬，一番演讲瞬间打破所有封建思想，人们态度瞬间转变，海兽由被唾弃瞬间转为宽容以待，生硬的转折只会带来尴尬，小女孩直接怼到国王王后鼻子上了，这也是有点魔幻现实主义的味道了，科幻元素好浓，而且也好像《驯龙高手》。

[视]卡通风CG，衣服材质，水面纹理，外墙花纹细节到位，画面信息量不大，经费花在刀刃上。故事简单低幼向，情感和戏剧冲突薄弱，主人公黑白配大叔萝莉，有萌有唯美，两栖怪兽戏份充足，怪兽造型设计偏简单，有巨兽对战，克系元素，一些镜头有壁纸级的构图

反之，他初恋女友倒确实是个有趣的女生，是因为他的女友有趣，所以给了他自己也不普通的错觉。
技术和画面让这个无聊故事有了点看头，在动画片里做政治表达很不容易，但实在太低龄
