The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 节奏很好，原型改成女性不觉得是zzzq的妥协，女演员也演得很好。
虽然是基于真实事件，但剧情起码有一半是编的（不懂司法部女儿这个角色的存在是为啥，略煽情做作）。不过历史上Silverton trio的确点燃了释放曼德拉的星星之火。为自由而战的故事永远让人动容。
種族之間，人為的隔離，就是世界上最大的不公。白種人的傲慢，就是自我感覺太好。自由和平等有時候的代價是巨大的，南非如此，很多地方也如是。
我爱男生？还是女生？
片中在银行中不杀人质很奇怪，对自己人毫不犹豫开枪，在中国类似事件警方并不会受绑匪威胁，而是直接封锁消息冲进去。一开始很期待三人在银行的表现，后面故事很让人失望。
对照网友提供的事件真相，这电影改编很大，与真相相去甚远。特别是杜撰三人组释放所有人质，彰显MK的正义，就属于编造的谎言了。

自由的代价到底是什么？要先看怎么去定义自由。自由永远是相对的，大家共同认可和服从一个规则，在这个规则的框架下，去获得最大的自由，而不是服从一个人。
“没见过这么多不怕死的人质，个个都是戏精。”关于南非的风土人情的介绍很给力。控诉了种族隔离的制度。把钻石之城介绍给了世界。
南非真实历史值得了解，但是这个拍的就是有点老套了。

和真实事件相差挺大的，加入太多刻意煽情的元素，呈现出来的观感并不令人满意。
