The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. Tell和Crik的对白将表达引向了另一种思考，暴力的归因究竟是functionalism还是intentionalism？类似于对纳粹德国和希特勒针对犹太人大屠杀行为研究中的观点，本片中在封闭的监禁过程中发生单向的暴力行为同样也可以从这两方面讨论，即是权力最高层的意识最大化，或者累积式激进下的恶行。作为施暴者去揭开这段心理创伤时的态度与受阴影折磨而选择自杀的施暴者的后代状态去观点对撞，是催生日后一切行为的原点。
唉不是我喜欢的类型还是看完了，还一位是赌神那挂的爆米花电影。
《出租车司机》导演+《醉乡民谣》男主角+《头号玩家》男主角 打的一手迷幻牌，喜欢导演这严谨的视觉格调。
不要被片名骗了，只是个复仇的故事，还是为别人复仇的故事。

往事虽然过去，但是记忆过不去;暴力已经成为往事，但是躯体里已然充满暴力，想要达到心理平衡是多么困难的事，打牌赌钱，奔波往来，都无济于事
2.5 救贖、孤獨、日記獨白、夜間流離的戲份都看得出 Taxi Driver 的影子，但Paul Schrader 始終不是 Martin Scorsese 啊
7.5 导演拯救剧本。并非如通常般着重展现赌牌、监狱、报仇这样充满“男子气概”重头戏，转而聚焦情感的流动表达。
以为能看到类似赌神的剧情，看来想多了。。。
这种题材居然一点镜头语言都没有 还不如看美剧

男主很有腔调了...但整部片子实在是乏善可陈。恐吓小老弟别去犯罪回去找妈妈那段还行，其他对话表演都很尬...反正不太能领会虐囚后PTSD的情愫

想起了PTA的赌城纵横，故事简单却处处透着作者的气息。情节没那么复杂算计，也没有浮夸的爱恨纠葛，有的只是一个祈求宽恕的男人。最好的一点还在于不煽情。
