The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 即便有北欧神话做汤底，剧作上乱炖了莎翁的Hamlet x Macbeth，布景和音乐更是魂穿3A游戏Witcher 3和God of War，还是看得索然无味，男主的许多行为让人费解，和女主的感情线更是莫名。
说实话，相比起这样的大制作大阵容，同样的故事或许用 [麦克白的悲剧] 那样的载体更能让Robert Eggers大施拳脚，观感上的去风格化相当明显。
巧妙蕴含北欧文化的美国大片，活泼敦厚的诺恩斯，喜庆祥和的瓦基里，扑面而来的制片厂味，香喷喷的烤火山，北欧人（笑）（掌声）。复仇，啊，奥丁神是喜欢渡鸦的，（笑）（掌声）美国人很爱意淫他国IP，北欧人和美国佬的精彩交织。
感觉不少戏份是后期为了主流市场加进去的（适当妥协？），还好艾格斯特有的诡魅味道没有消失。

故事复制莎士比亚的王子复仇记。阴郁的色调很用功。电影音乐也很亮。140分钟很冗长，减掉40分钟完全不影响剧情，或许能更加干练。我认为电影是拍给现代人看的，要共他们的情。
除了冰岛的景色一无是处。。。顶多还有乔伊的美颜。。。enmmm

真的是大失所望。海报越漂亮，内容越乏味。

要说画面吧，蛮荒cult还挺好看的，剧情么就实在太狗血了。
北欧版《王子復仇记》，神神叨叨，泥泞又昏暗。
新瓶旧酒乏善可陈，影像风格倒是颇有诗意。符号化的，冲突性的，疯狂而神秘的野兽派，莽中有细。
非常罗伯特风格、非常莎士比亚。服装设定细节很棒了，包括Valkryra的“牙套”，很多人可能觉得可笑，但实际上冰岛和Gotland考古发现就是这样的。导演考古和神话结合非常棒了。
就只有“好看”和“好听”，私以为故事跟去年《绿衣》是两个极端
史诗感不错，摄影美轮美奂，光影的效果，和广角的风景，确实赏心悦目。在电影杂志上看到过对于这部电影的介绍，据说两个多小时已经是经过很多删减之后的结果。但是北欧神话体系知识的匮乏会是观影过程的一个阻碍，不过也可以看做这是一个学习新知识的不错契机。
