The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 这部真是对追剧的人太友好了。方方面面让人想起最初追剧的心境。惊叹于两个女仆对女明星说的，“别忘了你的出身”，“也别被它束缚”。编剧加入默片时代到有声电影这个时代背景很惊艳。剧情不长，男仆编剧，男主，导演，女明星，一下子立起来了四个人设，连贯紧凑，台词仍然很聪明，心满意足。
削弱了我对歌舞片的好感，以自我（梦想）为中心的人，他的身上并没有光。相反，该片不断用29岁奔三的年龄焦虑来表达逐梦的急迫，急到好像有躁狂症一样，没有与梦想和衰老和解的追梦人，狭隘到令人疲倦。所以我无法被他激励，他也不是好的榜样。

确实挺creative的，能看出来林聚聚倾注的真诚炙热，但可惜碎片化的表达没能让作品更进一步，音乐剧做底都会有这样的桎梏。Jon的故事很好哭，加菲的表演超出预期。致，每一位追梦人，每一个充满勇气的梦。

7.5/10。很巧，一天看两部音乐、传记类。对比的话，一群会唱歌的演员形成的化学反应，压过了如果没有本人感人故事就会沦为普通过生平的记录。
