The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 看得出雷老爷子估计已经尽力让故事精彩了，但依然还是和雷老爷子以前的电影一样四平八稳毫无起伏
就雷迪嘎嘎走路也要抖肩膀的做派，就暴露了自己。
剧作上的问题比较大，没有挖掘出“众所周知”之外的其他有价值的任何信息，像把维基百科照本宣科的一般。另外，缺少对剧中人的共情，缺少真情实感，即便演员演的再卖力，也还是徒劳。
