The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. Cheesy and cliché in a good way, quite an enjoyable and heartwarming flick. +1 for Netflix’s first gay holiday rom-com!

圣诞节总该看几部温馨的电影。2021真是大开眼界的一年，见识了全黑的西部牛仔，还见证了一对圣诞节黑白配gay love。感叹自己和世界的价值已经渐行渐远了？！看到结尾男男主角kiss，既感到欢喜又感到尴尬。不知道什么时候西雅图未眠夜这样的传统情节还能回归主流？I'm saving money for something important. And you are important.如果是一对男女，这土味台词还挺感人的……
很喜欢里面的演员，但是这样一个cliche的剧本，毫无火花的演技，实在让我很无语。

Luke Macfarlane！没人可以拒绝他！全家都瞎，无脑温馨肥皂剧，不能算电影🎬最后说一句，ZZ正确这个事在美国太可怕了。本片又名：《白人家族为改变“家庭成分”疯狂怂恿儿子放弃大帅比嫁给黑人小哥的故事》，主要台词：“祖祖辈辈都是白人，我们白怕了呀！”
