The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 很喜欢Luck的骚鸡人设，will很好看。其实如果Charlie错过了Howie会更好一些。用古典异性恋框架的爱情故事来翻拍gay版会显得有些weird，虽然提到很多次heteronormativity，但似乎…也许这可能是导演想要表达的，即便在火烧岛，也没能解决掉它。
