剧情介绍

The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances.     雖然數字黑白的影像氣質始終無法跟膠片對比（同比同樣是 A24 出品的《燈塔》就是天壤之別），但好在美學風格和攝影扳回一城。柯恩嫂和女巫的表演真好。這個故事現在來看和現實的互文感強到令人頭皮發麻。

    在经典文学的大山面前，从文本层面的确很难突破了。也许为了另辟蹊径，导演很努力地在影像层面上做突破，黑白的色调让画面变得肃穆，简约的置景让人物的肖像成为核心，还有古典的构图，这些让这部电影太像伯格曼拍的了。

    看这部电影的时候很难不想起奥森·威尔斯的版本，两位导演都采用的黑白画面，也都依靠高度抽象的场景布置，受限于条件，威尔斯的剧场痕迹更重一些，镜头在剧场里，而科恩则没有这个问题，剧场在镜头里。
