The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 剧情张力有，两位小哥选角到位。有洗白张伯伦的倾向，不过已经盖棺定论的事要虚构发挥的空间不大。结尾人物逻辑稍欠佳，小人物突然明白自己无法撼动历史走势，有一种后见之明。
電影構建了一個比較正面的張伯倫，和一個人性化的希特勒。
英国人竟然胆敢找印度人斗舞这一无知举动就奠定了本片的超现实基调。阿兰和毕姆两人竟然还有史诗角色歌，秒回《摩诃婆罗多》，片尾舞蹈可以照搬上春晚。印度人想象力一直可以的。
慢镜头把影片的时长至少拉长了一个半小时。

我们的世界历史课本上写着张伯伦是一个愚蠢软弱的绥靖主义者，而其继任者丘吉尔则被赞为力挽狂澜的英雄，而这部电影则给了我们另一个角度来看待这位即使是丘吉尔上台后依然不敢怠慢的历史人物。
看了很多评论,了解到真实的历史,电影拍得不错,不过内容有失偏颇,实属遗憾
